The official documentation for this feature is located here: marlinfw.org/docs/features/lin_advance.htmlThis feature can increase print quality by adjusting the extrusion mechanism based on acceleration/jerk/speed change during the print. - Simply enable the #define LIN_ADVANCE feature inside Configuration_adv.h file
- set #define LIN_ADVANCE_K 0
- set #define LIN_ADVANCE_E_D_RATIO 0
Inside cura (V15.X.X) you need to add these at the end of your " Start.gcode" Then set " Minimum layer duration" to 0s inside Advanced settingsYou will need to test with different values of "K" parameter that you can change on your start.gcode. Start with K=75 then increase or decrease this value using a 25 step increment/decrement. Compare your print quality. Note that K parameter may need to be adjusted depending on material stiffness. - K=75 is a good start for PLA filament
- K=125 is a good start for flexible filament
Also note that Lin_Advance needs to know what is the Nozzle size, the filament diameter and also the layer height of your print in order to perform correctly.
